At the start of January 2025, the residents received the sad news that, the well known to fellow residents, Riempie Heiberg has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. After tests it was found to have affected his gallbladder, liver, colon, and stomach. A call to fellow residents were made to him in their thoughts and prayers during this challenging time.
On the 23rd of January 2025, the news however broke that he had passed away and that he had a lot of pain at the end but died peacefully. For his wife Lynne and the rest of the residents it's very heart breaking news and all's struggling to realise Riempie is no longer here with us.
