Recycling is essential to protect the environment and conserve limited natural resources, and it begins with you. Learn how to reduce the use of non-recyclable items, re-use items that can be given a second life while recycling items that can create jobs and providing cost-effective alternatives for manufacturing. The latter reduces the need for raw material extraction (mining, logging), lowers pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, and diverts waste from landfills.

* Sort and prepare recyclable materials from your normal waste.
* Place separated recyclable waste in your 140-litre recycling bin.
* Know your recycling day and ensure your bin is placed outside.
